Well, I'm off to the Bradford gig. Never seen a WASP show I didn't enjoy.

    Hope you have good time.

I saw them once back in 'the days'. They were supported by that twat of a waterbottle inflator Thor and the mighty Wrathchild. Well, they were a LOT better than Thor - for what that's worth.

I once ran into Chris Holmes in a club though. He tried to stop me using the Gents because he thought I was a girl. A very imposing character.

That'll be the Lyceum gig, '84, yeah? I'd have liked to have gone to that, but I was 14 and living 200 miles away, so I had no chance. I heard it broadcast on the Radio 1 Friday Rock Show though, it sounded bloody great.

Thor was a pillock, but apparently he's still about and still doing the same act...

And yeah, Chris Holmes is a big scary bugger. To be fair, though, you DID look like a girl back then...

Yes, it was the Lyceum. I can't say that I was impressed though. I've always thought of them as a third-rate Slade - but with raw meat and no sense of humour. It's all a matter of personal taste of course - they've certainly shifted a few records and managed to maintain a following.

Wrathchild were great that night though. They were already pissed off at being banned by WASP from using their pyros on the tour, and then had to suffer the added indignity of going on BEFORE Waterbottle Man! Needless to say, they went for it - pyros and all and totally stole the show.
